Hisense Dishwasher Repairs Across London, the South East and the Midlands
A dishwasher that’s not draining leaves you with a sink full of overflow and a kitchen routine in chaos. Hisense dishwashers — the HS slimline and freestanding ranges, the HV built-in series, and integrated models like the HV623D15UK and HV60340UK — are popular for their quiet wash cycles and clear E-code diagnostics.
As an authorised Hisense service partner, the Domex team carries out out-of-warranty repairs on every dishwasher sold in the UK, with manufacturer-trained engineers, genuine parts and a 12-month parts and labour guarantee on the completed work.
Whether your dishwasher is showing an E1, E3 or E4 code, leaving dishes dirty, leaking onto the kitchen floor or refusing to start the cycle, book a fixed-price visit and we’ll have it diagnosed during the first appointment in most cases. At Domex, we cover London, the South East and the Midlands, including Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham. Get in touch with us today.
Common Hisense Dishwasher Faults We Fix
Dishwasher not draining (E2)
When your dishwasher is not draining, you’ll often see the E2 error. It signals a blocked drain pump or a blocked drain filter with rinse aid residue and food debris being the top culprits. Other potential causes of this fault include a kinked drain hose under the kitchen unit, a failed drain pump impeller or your dishwasher waste connection at the sink is fully blocked. Whatever the case may be, rest assured that the Domex engineer assigned to you will be able to diagnose and troubleshoot the problem quickly and effectively.
Dishwasher not cleaning properly
Your trusted dishwasher isn’t cleaning leaving you with dirty dishes? In most cases, it’s the dishwasher spray arm that’s blocked. Blocked spray arm jets are the most overlooked cause but there are other potential culprits. These include a wash pump failure, weak water inlet, wrong detergent dispenser level and the salt reservoir may be empty. Your Domex engineer can help in all of these cases.
Dishwasher leaking (E4 / E5)
When your dishwasher is leaking, you’ll not only see a puddle on the floor but also likely to appear is the E4 error appearing on your display. An E5 error refers to overflow and this is commonly triggered by float switch fault triggers. Our engineers often report that leaks are caused by a door seal split, sump pan crack or an inlet pipe connection at the back. Get in touch with us to prevent further damage.
Dishwasher not heating (E3 / E6)
A dishwasher not heating is a signal that the heating element has failed. That’s the most common error that yields the E3 error code and results in dishes coming out cold. But other causes may also include a heating element relay on the main board or a thermistor / NTC sensor fault. We strongly recommend that you call an expert for such issues as the electrics require specialist handling.
Dishwasher won’t start (E1 / Door fault)
Seeing a dishwasher E1 error code? That’s when your dishwasher won’t start and the door won’t latch. Often, this is caused by a door latch microswitch failure, which is very common in HV-series integrated models. The solution our engineers can give is to foster better door alignment, fix a control panel button failure, or sometimes, fix a child lock that’s left engaged.
Dishwasher inlet fault / longer-than-normal fill (E1 inlet variant)
If your dishwasher is not filling, don’t take a chance. Have it repaired by a pro engineer instead. At Domex, our specialists often diagnose this issue as an inlet valve fault that’s typically linked to a water supply issue. Sometimes, you may be faced with a blocked inlet valve filter or the water-stop hose may be triggered (especially in Hisense models with Aquastop). Our engineers know just how to deal with low mains pressure under a kitchen island or a kinked inlet pipe behind an integrated unit.
Dishwasher Ed (communication fault)
Another fault we often see is the dishwasher Ed error. This indicates a communication error that has an associated control board fault. The main-to-display board communication failure can be caused by a loose ribbon cable or water damage to the control board (often after an earlier undetected leak). Either way, our engineers can help with a professional solution and quality workmanship that’s backed by a guarantee.

FAQs
Why is my dishwasher showing an E1 error code?
E1 typically means the water inlet has taken longer than expected to complete. Causes range from a closed isolation valve to a failed inlet valve or pressure switch. Check the tap first. If it’s on and the code returns, it’s an engineer’s job.”
My dishwasher won’t drain. What should I check?
Start with the drain filter at the base of the wash chamber (twist out, clear food debris, rinse, refit). Then check the drain hose isn’t kinked under the cabinet. If both look clear, the drain pump itself needs replacing. We carry the part in the van.
Are integrated dishwashers more expensive to repair?
Slightly. We have to remove the unit from the kitchen cabinet, which adds time. The repair itself is identical to a freestanding model. We’ll quote the all-in price up front.
Can you fit genuine dishwasher parts?
Yes. As an authorised Hisense service partner, every part is sourced through Hisense’s official UK supply chain.
How long does a dishwasher repair take?
Most repairs take 45–75 minutes including diagnosis. Integrated unit removals add 15–20 minutes either side.
Is it worth repairing a Hisense dishwasher that’s 5+ years old?
Usually, yes. The heating element, drain pump and door latch, which are the three most common faults, are inexpensive parts. A new mid-range dishwasher is £350+, so almost any repair pays for itself.
