Approved Hisense Appliance Specialists Across London, the South East, and the Midlands

A faulty washing machine doesn’t wait for a convenient day. Hisense washing machines have built a reputation in the UK for being well-made, energy efficient and competitively priced. But like every laundry appliance, components eventually wear. As an authorised Hisense service partner, the Domex team handles out-of-warranty washing machine repairs across the WFGE, WFQR, WFQY, WFPV and WDQY washer dryer ranges, plus the popular 5S models. Genuine parts, manufacturer-trained engineers, fixed pricing and most repairs sorted in a single visit.

Whether your washer won’t drain, won’t spin, has thrown an F01 or F03 error code or has started leaking from the door seal, we’ve seen it before. And we usually have the part in the van. Our coverage spans London, the South East and Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham in the Midlands and beyond. Get in touch with us today.

Common Hisense Washing Machine Faults We Fix

Washing machine not draining (Error code: F03/E2)

The number one cause of a blocked drain pump filter is blockages caused by coins, hair clips and lint. But a kinked drain hose or a failed drain pump motor could also be the culprit. The F03 code or E2 error specifically means water hasn’t fully drained within 6 minutes. Our engineers carry replacement drain pumps for all current models.

Washing machine not spinning (UNB / bearing fault)

Persistent UNB (unbalance) errors are often early-stage bearing wear while loud grinding on spin is late-stage. For older models, you could be experiencing motor brush wear or shock absorber failures. Additionally, control board faults may cause the spin cycle to abort and faulty drum bearings are a potential source of washer failure, too.

Washing machine not filling (Error code: F01/E10)

If your washer is not filling, the chances are that it’s a water inlet valve issue. This gives rise to the F01/E10 Hisense error code. The inlet valve failure, often due to a blocked inlet filter (limescale in hard-water areas), low mains pressure or a kinked inlet hose usually cause the issue.

Washing machine leaking

When your washing machine is leaking, you’re likely dealing with a worn door seal. Door seal (gasket) splits are a common issue our engineers see. However, your detergent drawer leaking may also be the cause and it may need a detergent drawer hose displacement (this is a well-known F17 issue on WFHV models). Alternatively, the issue may be a drain pump housing crack or that the sump hose has perished.

Washer door won’t open (Error code: dE error)

You’ve done your laundry but the washer’s door doesn’t open? If you’re seeing the Hisense dE error, you’re faced with a door lock replacement fault where the washer door is stuck. A door interlock failure is common. It usually wears out at around the five-year mark. This is often caused by latch hook damage, a control board not releasing the lock or water still in the drum preventing release.

Washing machine F08 / motor inverter fault

Seeing the Hisense F08 error code? This is most likely caused by a faulty motor inverter or a control board fault. The good news is that an inverter board is replaceable, and our engineers are ready to help. With motor wiring damage caused by an overloaded drum that leads the inverter to trip, our engineers recognise that this is an advanced fault where a DIY fix is not recommended.

Washer dryer not drying (WDQY / Error code: F17)

If you’re the owner of a Hisense WDQY washer dryer but it’s simply not drying, your washer dryer likely is unable to heat and this leads to the F17 error. Common causes of this issue are condenser blockage, thermal cut-out activation, drying element failure and sensor faults. Because we’re an approved service partner to Hisense, our engineers are well-equipped to handle this issue, too.

Hisense Washing Machine Models We Repair

We repair every current Hisense washing machine and washer dryer sold in the UK, plus most models from the past 10 years.

  • WFGE series: 9–10kg freestanding washing machines (e.g. WFGE901)
  • WFQR / WFQY series: mid-range freestanding washers
  • WFPV series: premium pure-jet front loaders
  • WDQY washer dryers: combination wash and dry units
  • 5S models: pet-mode and steam-allergy variants
  • Top-loaders: WTCT, WTS series (less common in the UK but still serviceable)

Got Questions About Your Washer Repair? We Have Answers

How do I reset a Hisense washing machine error code?

Most washing machine error codes can be cleared by turning the machine off at the wall for 1–2 minutes, then powering back on. If the same code returns, the underlying fault is real and that’s why it’s worth booking an engineer.

Is it worth repairing an out-of-warranty washing machine?

In most cases, yes. A repair is almost always cheaper than a replacement, especially for premium Hisense 5S, WFPV or WDQY washer dryer models. We give fixed price washing machine repairs in the UK before our engineer arrives so you can decide.

How long does a washing machine repair take?

Most repairs take 30–60 minutes. Drum bearing replacements take longer (1.5–2 hours) and may need a parts order. We’ll confirm timing at the quote stage.

Can you replace the washing machine drum bearings?

Yes. Drum bearing replacement is one of our most common jobs. We carry the bearing kits, drum spider and seal for current models in our vans.

Do you fit genuine Hisense parts?

Yes. As an authorised Hisense service partner, every component fitted is sourced through Hisense’s official UK supply chain. These are the same parts the manufacturer would use in-warranty.
