Samsung Fridge Freezer Symbols

This symbol is a two-prong plug, like that of an electric shaver, attached to a light bulb in the power cord.

By pressing the Energy Saver button, the symbol lights up and you can get better energy efficiency from your appliance. However, it’s advised that you do not use this if you begin to notice condensation on your fridge-freezer doors.

This symbol is simply a hexagon with an ice flake in the middle.

When this symbol lights up it means you’re using the freezer button. This allows you to choose a temperature from between -14℃ and -23℃, a function which is especially useful if you need to freeze an item in a short space of time.

This symbol is a picture of a small speaker, with lines of reverberation extending out.

This button has two functions. Firstly, it can turn off the alarm which sounds when the door is left open, but you can also hold the alarm button to reset the water filter icon when changing the filter.

This symbol is of a dotted square with a water droplet forming at the bottom.

Your water filter should be changed every six months based on average use. This icon will light up blue upon first changing the filter, changing to pink after five months of usage, before finally turning red after the filter has been used for six months.

This symbol depicts a light bulb, with dashes to represent the light from the bulb.

By holding the lighting button you can turn on the LED light for the dispenser unit.

This symbol is of a water droplet with a small ice flake inside.

By pressing the Fridge/Hold 3 sec for Power Cool button you choose the temperature you’d like to set for the fridge (between 1℃ and 7℃). You can speed up the cooling process with Power Cool by holding the button for 3 seconds, and doing the same again to cancel Power Cool.

Linked to the ’Water’ button on the control panel, when this symbol is lit your dispenser will give you filtered water.

Linked to the Ice Off/Hold 3 sec for Child Lock button on your control panel, when this icon is lit your ice dispenser will be turned off.

Linked to the Ice Off/Hold 3 sec for Child Lock button on the control panel, by holding the button for three seconds you can put the child lock on to prevent children playing with the fridge-freezer functions.
